Hit and Miss Fencing

Hit and miss fencing in a garden in Oxford

Hit and Miss fencing has pales that are fixed alternately on the front and back of the fence panel. The resulting overlap creates a distinctive pattern, which is where the name comes from.

This sort of fencing can improve the security and privacy of your garden or outdoor space while still maintaining its visual appeal. Trentwood Fencing Ltd can supply and fit Hit and Miss fence panels with pales running either horizontally or vertically depending on your preferences.

We have fitted Hit and Miss fencing to happy customers throughout Oxfordshire. An example of this can be seen on our Oxford case study page.

Advantages of Hit and Miss fencing

The two main advantages are:

  • The gaps in the boards allow air to pass through the fence and therefore reduce wind resistance. This is especially beneficial in areas prone to high wind and could save you from having to replace your fence due to harsh weather.
  • The fence panel looks good on both sides, so neither you or your neighbour will have a bad-looking side of the fence.

We can supply and fit all types of domestic, commercial and agricultural fencing, including fit and miss fencing.
