A mixture of woven fencing and tongue and groove fencing in Piddington
Piddington is a quiet village about 4.5 miles south-east of Bicester, and it is here that our customer asked us to install new fencing around their garden. Unusually, the customer's selection was a mixture of rustic woven fence panels and tongue and groove panels, but we think the finished result looks very smart. Our team worked professionally around an established tree, leaving a happy customer with a clean and tidy site at the end of the day.
Close-board fence with sloped raker bay in Horton-cum-Studley
Horton-cum-Studley is a lovely, rural village about nine miles from Bicester, where our customer asked us to install some new close-board fencing to their rear garden. This was an interesting project, because we included a sloping "raker" bay in the fence line. This provides an attractive transition from high to low, avoiding the less visually pleasing abruptness of a difference in height.
Close-board and deer fencing in Merton, near Bicester
We recently completed a fencing project at a rural property in Merton, near Bicester.
Traditional close-board fencing was installed along part of the boundary, complete with a matching timber gate to allow secure access. This solid, vertical board style provides excellent privacy and is a popular choice for residential properties thanks to its strength and durability.
In other areas of the property, particularly those bordering open countryside, we erected deer-proof galvanised wire fencing. This high-tensile wire mesh is specially designed to keep deer safe but also keep them from entering the grounds while still allowing light and airflow, making it an ideal choice for rural homes, paddocks or gardens where wildlife deterrent is essential.
All our timber used is FSC-certified, meaning it comes from responsibly managed forests. The fence posts are UC4 treated, which means they have the highest class of protection against long exposure to wet ground. This significantly reduces maintenance issues and prolongs the life of the installation by reducing the risk of rot and decay, even in areas exposed to constant moisture.
As with every Trentwood Fencing project, the work was completed efficiently, to the agreed specification and quote.

Iroko hardwood gates in Fringford, near Bicester
We recently fitted an iroko hardwood driveway gate at a residential property in Fringford, a picturesque village near Bicester in Oxfordshire. Iroko hardwood is a dense, tropical timber and a popular choice because of its strength, high durability and natural resistance to weather and pests. With its rich colour, iroko offers an attractive look that complements both traditional and contemporary properties.
To support the weight and longevity of the gate, we installed solid oak posts and galvanised fittings to prevent rusting.
At Trentwood Fencing, we can supply and install a wide range of gates, from hardwood driveway entrances to security and deer gates, tailored to suit the look of your property, security and budget requirements.
Fencing on a curve
We like a challenge, so the Trentwood team took a break from the norm to install this 1.8m high close board fencing on a curve for our customer's garden in Bicester. With proper planning and attention to detail, the fence was soon erected and we were all pleased with the result.
For odd shapes, awkward angles or sloping sites, you do need a professional team who know what they're doing. Ask Trentwood Fencing for a quote if you are in a similar situation.
